ERRATA
For some Dreamweaver kits shipped after October, 2023:

There was a manufacturing discrepancy in the wooden handles for this kit, which affects the handle flaps fitting correctly in the opening of the wooden handles. Fortunately there is an easy fix by simply adjusting the size of the Flaps when making the bag; please read on for details!

Check your wooden handles. The slot in the handles where the bargello flap is inserted should measure 5 1/4" (13 cm). If the opening in your handles meets this measurement, you received the correct item and you are all set. Please proceed with the instructions as they are printed in the pattern.

If the opening in your handles measures 4 1/2" (11.5 cm), you will need to make adjustments while stitching the Handle Flaps for your bag as follows:

  • Follow the pattern as written in the Flaps section (page 7 of the pattern booklet), but cut the canvas to 45 x 29 squares (not 51 x 29 squares).
  • Remove 3 stitches from each side of the Flap Chart (page 9) to fit the smaller canvas.
  • Proceed with the rest of the instructions as printed.

Finally, if you've already stitched your Flaps and they are too large to fit the wooden handles you received with your kit, please contact us for further assistance in successfully completing your Dreamweaver bag.
